BENGALURU: The Karnataka legislative assembly on Thursday passed an unanimous resolution condemning the Tamil Nadu resolution which condemned the Mekedatu balancing reservoir proposal by the state and asked the centre to clear the Mekedatu project.
It went a step further by even asking the Central government to not approve the Cauvery-Vaigai-Gundar river interlinking project proposed by Karnataka without the complete consent of of the state while seeking the the ministry of forest and environment to sanction the terms of reference (TOR) for the Mekedatu project.
