Karnataka Medical Council suspends doctor for 6 months over botched op

BENGALURU: The Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) on June 4 suspended the licence of Dr Mohammed Irshad Ahmed for six months in a five-year-old medical negligence case pertaining to a knee-replacement surgery.

The KMC has found Dr Ahmed guilty of using poor-quality implants and failing to follow up on the patient’s condition.
