HUBBALLI: Mahatma Gandhiji Udhyanvana Vedike has complained to Lokayukta about the alleged misappropriation of funds in the development works of MG Park. Vedike officebearers Laxman Gandgalekar, Basavaraj Teradal, Revansiddappa Hubballi and Mohan Hiremani said that hardly any work is done though Hubballi-Dharwad Smart City Ltd has cleared a bill running into crores.
“They have developed the park by painting old structures,” they said. Gandgalekar said officials, in their reply to a query, have said they constructed a 750m wall around the park, while it measures only 450m. “The works on puzzle parking, toy train and others need to be investigated properly. So we have filed a complaint to Lokayukta,” said Teradal.
