HUBBALLI: A member of Gangiwal gram panchyat was hacked to death near Rayanal village by some miscreants late on Monday night.
The deceased is Deepak Patadari, 31, a resident of Rayanal. A bike-borne gang of more than six persons, armed with weapons, allegedly attacked Deepak, while he returning home on his bike. Deepak,who was brutally attacked, succumbed to injuries at KIMS Hospital here.
DCP (law and order) Sahil Bagla told TOI that family dispute and political rivalry mayb be the reasons for the attack. “But we will ascertain the exact reason. We have arrested three persons and searching for the other accused,” he added.
A case has been registered at old Hubballi police station. Police are investigating.
