BENGALURU: The expose of alleged irregularities and corruption in the on-going process to recruit 545 police sub-inspectors has again brought to the fore the rotten recruitment system in state government departments and the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).
There have been a plethora of similar allegations in the past, and consecutive governments had promised mechanisms and ways to eradicate the evil, but none have systematically addressed the problem to end it once and for all. Nor have they instilled confidence among job seekers.
