
Many districts in Karnataka, including the coastal, south interior, and North Interior regions are set to receive rainfall from Saturday, May 16, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said. According to the IMD, a well-marked low-pressure area continues to persist over the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. The associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 5.8 km above mean sea level and tilts southwestward with height.
Bengaluru is also on the list and the city may witness moderate to heavy showers today, as per the IMD forecast. According to News9, A few areas in the city may witness light rain, especially during late afternoon or night and the chances of rain may decrease by Sunday.
