BENGALURU: About 20% of the engineering colleges under Visvesvaraya Technological University have asked for a reduction in seats in traditional courses like mechanical, civil, electrical and allied programmes, reports Sruthy Susan Ullas.
While the university has not received any application for closure of colleges for the academic year 2022-23, some affiliate colleges have applied for reduction of intake in various UG courses. When the request is approved, around 2,800 seats in these streams will be reduced.
