In the final second-round Losers’ Bracket match of the LEC Versus playoffs, Karmine Corp defeated Team Vitality and clinched the last remaining top four slot for Barcelona.
The LEC Versus format was very fun from the beginning, thanks in no small part to Los Ratones, who have punched way above their weight and defeated the teams they had no business beating. But on the final day, they lost to the very hot-and-coldTeam Vitality and failed to make the playoffs.
Team Vitality continued being very inconsistent in the playoffs, losing 0:2 against MKOI, but then convincingly beating Fnatic with the same scoreline. Unfortunately for them, their opponent in round 2 of the Loser’s Bracket was Karmine Korp, whose players had something to prove after a disappointing showing against G2.
Team Vitality came out of the gates swinging, and despite what was a strangely disappointing showing from the star toplaner Naak Nako, managed to take game one. Carzzy’s incredible performance on Ezreal helped massively.

In game 2, Team Vitality allowed KC to pick Azir, and this was a mistake. Naak Nako’s Yasuo gambit didn’t pay off either, and Karmine Corp tied the series.
For game 3, Team Vitality clearly had a curveball ready, with a peculiar draft that saw them run Seraphine-Braum bot lane, and Humanoid on Twisted Fate on mid. Unfortunately for them, KC was ready, and the game was basically a merciless stomp: 20-2 in kills and 20,000 gold lead.
With this loss, Team Vitality was eliminated from the LEC Versus contention. Curiously, since the beginning of 2025, every single time Team Vaitality has made the playoffs, Karmine Corp was there to beat them: 2:0 in Winter 2025, knocking them to the Losers’, and then 3:1 in Summer 2025, sending them home.
LEC Versus playoffs will continue this Friday with Karmine Corp taking on GIANTX in a best-of-5 format in Barcelona. The winner of this match will advance to face the loser of the G2 vs. MKOI bout. The winner of the LEC Versus 2026 split will go to the First Stand 2026.
