Karen Gillan has given fans a sneaky look at the potential fate of her character Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
The Scots former Doctor Who actress was showing off some behind the scenes snaps of the make up process involved in creating her blue cyborg character Nebula for the upcoming Marvel sequel.
On her Instagram stories, she showed fans the make up team going through their 100th application of the blue colour.
They wore special glasses with the number 100 to celebrate the momentous moment and even presented her with a cake which celebrated the 100th application.
In the last picture Karen showed off some of her latest make up as she took on the form of Nebula.
However rather than the usual smooth complexion, Nebula appeared to sport some scratches - pointing to a potential battle.
To make matters worse, Karen also confessed that she has had more than 100 applications of the blue face make up - and thinks she is actually on her 170th application.
Nebula is expected to appear in a few highly anticipated Marvel projects. Obviously the biggest is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which will seemingly end the story of the current team.
She’s also going to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder and James Gunn is working on a Guardians Holiday Special for Disney+, and animated shorts starring Baby Groot.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is currently expected to arrive in theatres on May 5, 2023.
