Kanye West says he has asked former US President Donald Trump to be his running mate after announcing he intends to make a bid for the White House in the 2024 election.

The 45-year-old rapper - who has legally changed his name to “Ye” - confirmed earlier this week that he is eyeing another bid for the Presidency after a failed attempt in 2020.
