Kanye West’s Twitter account has been officially suspended after violating the platform’s policy against inciting violence.
Newly-instated Twitter boss and tech-billionaire Elon Musk confirmed the news on Thursday.
Action was taken after the US rapper posted a series of erratic tweets, one of which appeared to show a symbol combining a swastika and a Jewish star.
In another tweet, Kanye showed a picture of a man he claimed he had 'caught wife Kim Kardashian with.'
Prior to the Twitter meltdown, the Yeezus star sparked huge backlash with vile remarks made during a rambling interview with US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on Thursday.
During the interview, with his face covered in a black balaclava, Kanye praised Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
Replying to one Twitter user, who urged him to “fix Kanye”, Musk replied: “I tried my best.
“Despite that, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence. Account will be suspended.”
After buying Twitter for $44billion last month, Musk reinstated Kanye's account which had been taken down following a series of anti-Semitic threats.
Later, Kanye reportedly posted a screenshot showing that he was locked out of his account for 12 hours on Truth Social – the social media platform created by former US president Donald Trump.
The parent company of social media platform Parler announced that the rapper would no longer be buying the platform.
Earlier on Thursday evening, Kanye appeared on Infowars alongside US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and white nationalist Nick Fuentes.
In a shocking rant, a masked Kanye said: "I see good things about Hitler... every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.
"This guy invented highways, invented the very microphone that I use a musician, you can't say out lous that this person ever did anything good, and I'm done with that.
"I'm done with the classification, every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler. I like Hitler," he added.
Later in the podcast, Kanye claimed Hitler 'didn't kill six million Jews' in a shocking ant.
"I'm not trying to be shocking. I like Hitler," he repeated.
Host Jones, who is no stranger to controversy, looked uncomfortable by Kanye's vile remarks and tried to interject.
"The Nazis were thugs and did really bad things," he said.
To which Kanye replied: "But they did good things too. We gotta stop dissing the Nazis all the time... I love the Nazis.'
His previous antisemitic remarks have resulted in the termination of lucrative partnerships, including with German sportswear brand Adidas.
Later on Thursday night, Kanye said he 'stood by' fashion house Balenciaga who were widely condemned this week for adverts featuring bondage bears and child abuse papers.
