Kanye West's 'Carnival' Hits No. 1 On Hot Rap Songs

Kanye West makes a point as he holds his first rally in support of his presidential bid in North Charleston

Ye West, formerly known as Kanye, has achieved a significant milestone in his music career as his song 'Carnival' climbs to the number one spot on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs chart. The track, a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, Playboy Carti, and Rich the Kid, has been steadily rising on various charts and now secures the top position on two rankings.

'Carnival' dethrones Jack Harlow's 'Lovin on Me' to claim the top spot on the Hot Rap Songs chart, marking West's eleventh number one hit on the chart. This achievement propels him ahead of Nicki Minaj and Diddy, who were previously tied with him at ten chart-topping songs each.

With this latest success, Ye West now shares the same number of number one hits on the Hot Rap Songs chart as Lil Wayne, both boasting 11 chart-toppers. The dynamic nature of the music industry suggests that either artist could surpass the other in the future, given their consistent output and enduring popularity.

Drake currently holds the record for the most number one hits on the Hot Rap Songs chart, with an impressive 29 chart-topping singles. His dominance in this regard places him in a league of his own, with a substantial lead over other artists.

While Ye West enjoys his success on the charts, his collaborators on 'Carnival' are also celebrating. The song marks Ty Dolla $ign's third number one hit on the Hot Rap Songs chart, while it serves as the first chart-topper for both Playboy Carti and Rich the Kid.

'Carnival' is the lead track from West and $ign's Vultures 1 album, released just three weeks ago. The song's rapid ascent to the top of multiple charts underscores its growing popularity among music listeners. In addition to its success on the Hot Rap Songs chart, 'Carnival' is making a strong push for the number one spot on the Hot 100 chart, facing competition from other popular tracks such as Beyoncé's 'Texas Hold ‘Em,' Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things,' and Teddy Swims' 'Lose Control.'
