The rapper Ye, formally known as Kanye West has branded Piers Morgan a "Karen" in his first interview since being slammed.
Ye, 45, was slammed when he tweeted: "I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE," – but he has no regrets.
In a new interview, Kim Kardashian's ex-husband spoke to Piers Morgan on his TalkTV show, Uncensored, where he explained he has no regrets about his disturbing post but said he was "sorry".
During the interview, Ye walked out and Piers was left wondering whether he would return.
However, when challenged by the former Good Morning Britain anchor, the dad-of-three hit out at Piers with an incredible swipe.
"You're being a Karen, you don't hold accountability to the pain," fumed Ye.
Karen is a term used mainly associated with a person who complains, uses aggressions and weaponise their privilege.
Piers responded: "I'm not a Karen and I'm not going to cancel you and I'm not going to censor you, I'm simply going to challenge you on what you're saying," before Ye, while grinning quipped: "You can't cancel me!"
Morgan continued: "You don't understand the pain you've been causing with these comments and I think with that one in particular."
However, Piers was quickly silenced as Ye blurted: "Oh my God, God forbid one comment could cause people to feel any of the pain that my people have went through for years.
"Even the Blacks being ushered to the left during the civil rights movement, no one has cared about black people!"
During the chat, Ye admitted his comments were anti-Semitic and took responsibility, telling Piers: "Yes, I fought fire with fire, I'm not here to get hosed down, I'm a different type of freedom fighter."
He later said: "I will say I'm sorry for the people I hurt with the 'death con', with the confusion, I feel like I caused hurt and confusion and I am sorry for the families of the people who had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through.
"And that I used my platform where you say, I hurt people, and I was hurt."
Ye added: "It's wrong to hold an apology hostage and I gotta let go of that and free myself of the trauma.
"And say I’m just going to give it all up to God right now and say to those families that I have hurt, I just want to give you a big hug. I say I am sorry for hurting you in my comments."
