Kanye West 'blowing through money like it's water' amid financial ruin fears

Kanye West is reportedly living out of fancy hotel rooms and "blowing through money like it's water" - sparking fears he could fall into financial ruin.

The rapper, 45, has been embroiled in a number of controversies recently, prompting claims that his ex-wife and the mother of his four children, Kim Kardashian, is refusing contact with him.

Earlier this month, Kanye had his Twitter and Instagram accounts restricted following an anti-Semitic tweet. Just weeks earlier, he had shocked fans at his surprise Yeezy show in Paris after wearing a White Lives Matter shirt.

After lashing out at a number of celebrities - including former pal Justin Bieber - Kanye went on to make a number of shocking claims about Kim and accused Adidas of "stealing" his designs after they placed their partnership under review.

And now, sources have told TMZ that Kanye is rarely staying at home and is largely living in pricey hotel rooms and rental homes. It's also said that he's spending a lot of money, which has included splashing out for his now infamous Paris Yeezy show and his alleged purchase of social media platform Parler.

It has also been suggested that he's made a number of "rash" business decisions, which has included firing advisors and publicists.

A former friend of the rapper told the site: "He blows through his money like it's water."

The Mirror has reached out to Kanye's reps for comment.

Back in 2021, Kanye reportedly purchased a £4million ($4.5million) mansion across the street from Kim in the Hidden Hills.

That same year, he also purchased a £40million Malibu bachelor pad, which was designed by one of his favourite architects.
