Days after bringing white supremacist Nick Fuentes to meet with former President Donald Trump, rapper and 2024 presidential wannabe Kanye West has reportedly added the notorious Holocausr denier to his campaign team.
Fuentes is taking time away from his streaming right-wing program to work with West, the Daily Beast reported Monday. The rapper, who now goes by the name Ye, has come under fire recently for antisemitic remarks, a cornerstone of Fuentes’ brand.
The 24-year-old ultra-conservative provocateur will join former Breitbart News editor and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene intern Milo Yiannopoulos on Ye’s team. Greene, the controversial congresswoman from Georgia and avid Trump supporter, once suggested lasers fired from space by Jewish bankers may be to blame for California wildfires.
Fuentes reportedly read a message from Yiannopoulos on air over the weekend that said “See you at the office Monday, brother!”
Ye announced last week that he would take another run at the White House. He campaigned in 2020 and received 60,000 votes, which fell short of the 81 million ballots collected for President Biden and 74 million cast for Trump.
While Trump has not disavowed Fuentes despite widespread backlash, he did claim after their meeting last week he didn’t know who the conservative activist was when he showed up with Ye at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate last week.
Ye said he asked Trump at that dinner to run as his vice president in 2024, an offer Trump angrily turned down.
“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, me asking him to be my vice president,” West said on a video posted on his Twitter feed. “That caught him off-guard.
“Trump started basically screaming at me at the table telling me I was going to lose,” Kanye continued.
