Following a challenging September, the Kansas City Royals experienced a second seven-game slide towards the end of the season. However, the team managed to turn things around and secure a spot in the playoffs after winning four of their final six games. This remarkable achievement comes after a season where they had tied a franchise record with 106 losses.
After a two-game sweep against Baltimore, the Royals are now set to face the New York Yankees in the AL Division Series. The team's focus on staying in the moment and taking each pitch as it comes has been a key factor in their success.
