Kansas City Chiefs predicted to be dumped out of NFL Play-Offs by Jacksonville Jaguars

Madden NFL has predicted the Kansas City Chiefs to lose against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL playoffs on Saturday night.

The NFL playoffs continue this weekend with the Divisional Round as teams attempt to reach the conference championship games ahead of Super Bowl LVII. EA Sports simulated the upcoming round of the NFL playoffs on Madden 23, the thirty-fourth instalment in the Madden NFL video game series.

The playoffs began last weekend when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Seattle Seahawks and the Jaguars pulled off an epic comeback against the Los Angeles Chargers. The following day saw the Buffalo Bills see off the Miami Dolphins while the New York Giants stunned the Minnesota Vikings before Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers crashed out against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.

Madden simulated the Jaguars’ trip to Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday night - and the video game developers expect an upset. According to the iconic game, Trevor Lawrence and co. are set to secure a 35-29 victory over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

The AFC Championship Game would see the Jaguars take on the Bills, who are projected to see off Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals 24-12. The New York Giants are expected to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 30-26 while the San Francisco 49ers secured a 21-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Madden believe Josh Allen is going to lead the Bills back to the AFC Championship as he harbours hopes of reaching his first Super Bowl. In this scenario, Buffalo would host Jacksonville for a place in the final four next weekend.

Elsewhere, the Giants are expected to imitate the Jaguars and stun their favoured opponents, the Eagles. Philadelphia finished with the best record in the NFL while they clinched the first-seed - and a bye - in the NFC, but they are expected to fall against their NFC East rivals.

As for the 49ers’ clash with Cowboys, the historic rivalry will be rekindled. Even last season, San Francisco defeated America’s Team 23-17 in Dallas with quarterback Dak Prescott failing to get the snap off in time.

The match is set to be the ninth time the two iconic franchises have met in the postseason, tied for the most of any matchup in the Super Bowl era with the 49ers against the Green Bay Packers and the Cowboys against the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams. Six of the previous ties have come in the conference title game, with the likes of Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Steve Young, Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders competing in the rivalry.

The Chiefs host the Jaguars in the first clash of the Divisional Round this weekend on Saturday night.
