KANPUR: Two weeks training programme on “Modern Techniques of Sugar Crystallization and Centrifugation” organized for technical personnel of UP Co-operative Federation Sugar Factories, concluded at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur, on Saturday. The programme was attended by 40 technical personnel from 20 sugar factories of federations.
During the programme, institute faculty provided comprehensive knowledge about modern sugar crystallization techniques for producing different sugar qualities. An overview was also given to them about modern continuous sugar crystallization equipment, automatic controls to regulate rate of crystallization and parameters required. The participants were given knowledge about use of different energy efficient centrifugal and parameters to be controlled, said D. Swain, Professor of Sugar Engineering and Course Coordinator. Certificates were distributed to participants by Director, NSI, Narendra Mohan.
