NEW DELHI: New Zealand's cricket captain, Kane Williamson, expressed his excitement at the prospect of returning to action after a lengthy injury layoff as he prepares to lead his team against Bangladesh in a crucial World Cup clash set to take place in Chennai on Friday.

Williamson had sustained a knee injury while participating in the Indian Premier League in late March but has made a remarkable recovery to rejoin his team in India. During his absence, New Zealand managed to secure victories in their first two World Cup matches.
