In a noteworthy act yesterday, Kamala Harris, the Vice President of the United States, honored and celebrated the culture and excellence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) during the game today.
Highlighting the extraordinary contributions of HBCUs to American society, Vice President Harris emphasized their critical role in the development of the country's academic scene. These institutions have universally played a significant part in providing quality higher education to African Americans for more than a century. Often considered the custodians of Black culture and history, they have produced numerous distinguished alumni, many of whom have marked illustrious feats in various sectors, ranging from science and technology to entertainment and sports.
