Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips has been warned not to join Manchester City if Pep Guardiola cannot offer him one 'guarantee' this summer.
City are understood to be preparing to make a move for the English midfielder as they look to fill a void in the centre of the pitch. Fernandinho will leave the Blues when his contract expires and so the club are on the hunt for his replacement.
Phillips has been building a good reputation for himself since the European Championship last summer but spent a large part of the 2021/22 season out through injury. As a result of his hamstring injury, along with several other key absentees, the Whites were involved in a relegation battle for much of the campaign.
