Leeds United were given a major scare during England's Nations League match with Germany last night when Kalvin Phillips hobbled off inside the opening 15 minutes with an injury. The Leeds United midfielder came off worse after a challenge from defender Nico Schlotterbeck and had to be replaced.
Phillips had looked impressive during the opening minutes, flying across the pitch as he was once again partnered with Declan Rice in midfield, being favoured over the likes of Jude Bellingham, Conor Gallagher and James Ward-Prowse.
It came after a fairly chaotic start between the two old enemies at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena where both teams enjoyed sightings of goal. However, there was a pause in proceedings after just nine minutes with Phillips left in a heap in the middle of the pitch.
