Kalaburagi accident: DNA test to identify bodies

HYDERABAD: With bodies being charred beyond recognition, police struggled to ascertain the identity of the victims of the tragic bus accident. The Kamalapur police have decided to conduct a DNA test by collecting samples from the mortal remains of the victims. Some of the survivors assisted the cops in identifying the victims. Kalaburagi district SP Isha Pant told TOI, "We were able to identify the bodies of women by looking at the jewellery, mangalasutra and other ornaments."
