Kailyn Lowry Advocates For Teaching Boys About Menstruation Importance

Kailyn Lowry

Kailyn Lowry recently shared her perspective on the importance of educating boys about menstruation. In a TikTok video, the Teen Mom 2 alum revealed how she unexpectedly got her period while on vacation with her four sons. Lowry emphasized the significance of teaching her sons, aged 14, 10, 6, and 3, about periods, especially since she has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) which can lead to irregular cycles.

She candidly discussed how she wants her sons to be aware of what to look for in case of a menstrual emergency and even mentioned that her eldest sons could assist her by going to the store to get necessary supplies. Lowry expressed no hesitation in asking for help from her children during such situations, highlighting the importance of open communication within the family.

Aside from her four sons, Lowry is also a mother to a 14-month-old son and newborn twins. She recently shared that her family is complete after undergoing a procedure to have her tubes removed. Despite feeling content with her decision, Lowry mentioned that another pregnancy wouldn't have upset her, but she and her partner had already decided that their family was complete.

In a heartwarming moment, Lowry expressed joy at having all her children under one roof for the first time. She shared a TikTok video where her son echoed her sentiments about the lively household filled with boys engaging in sports and activities.

Lowry's openness about menstruation and her family dynamics have resonated with many, shedding light on the importance of normalizing conversations about periods and involving boys in understanding and supporting women during their menstrual cycles.
