Amid his extended Twitch hiatus following his record-breaking Mafiathon 3, Kai Cenat sparked widespread speculation after dropping a YouTube video titled “I Quit” on Jan. 13, 2026.
Given the Twitch superstar’s dominance in live streaming, the cryptic title sent his fans into a panic, fearing he might be leaving streaming for good.
Is Kai Cenat quitting streaming?
As the 23-minute long video played out, it became clear that Kai Cenat wasn’t stepping away from streaming altogether. Instead, the streaming megastar revealed he’s pivoting toward something new, both creatively and personally. Rather than quitting content creation, Kai explained that he’s quitting overthinking, succumbing to self-doubt, and limiting himself to a single identity.

At the start of the video, Kai reflected on the mindset behind the provocative title. “I feel like sometimes, people need to self-reflect and take a step back from the broad perspective of what their life has been.”
“The energy and passion to want to do more and create is within me. That is why I quit. I quit thinking in my head of the goals I want to achieve and not pursuing them because I’m primarily known for one thing and (I’m) super scared to step out of that box and try new things,” he added
Kai’s message is about personal growth and choosing to pursue new interests without being boxed into expectations tied to his online fame. He emphasized that his drive to create is simply evolving.
Kai Cenat enters fashion with Vivet, unveils secret YouTube channel

The biggest reveal from the video was Kai’s official move into fashion with the launch of his clothing brand, Vivet. The name, which translates to “will live” in Latin, reflects his desire to live beyond what he’s already known for.
To kickstart the project—which he had previously teased at The Streamer Awards—Kai spent much of the latter part of 2025 in Italy, immersing himself in the fashion world and learning the ins and outs of design and production.
“This is the first time I’ve had a passion for something besides content creation,” he said, emphasizing the seriousness of the venture. He also added: “This is not me sticking my name on a brand and money-grabbing.”

Alongside Vivet, Kai revealed towards the end of the video his previously hidden YouTube channel called “kai’s Mind.” In stark contrast to his high-energy main channel, the new space offers a quieter, more introspective look at his self-improvement journey.
The channel features videos of him improving his speaking skills through reading, working out, and even documenting his earliest attempts at sewing, a natural extension of his fashion ambitions. The videos show a raw version of Kai intentionally slowing down to learn and build new skills from the ground up.
Despite the dramatic framing of his new YouTube video, Kai never explicitly said he’s quitting streaming. What is changing is how he defines himself beyond the screen. With Vivet and kai’s Mind, he’s signaling a wider vision rooted in long-term creativity and personal growth.
