FEARNOTs, get ready to open up your wallets for some Overwatch Coins once more.
At the very end of today’s official trailer for Overwatch’s season four, Heroes of Busan, a quick teaser appeared to show K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM’s logo popping up on various screens throughout the South Korean-based map.
Blizzard soon confirmed a new collaboration with the group is coming in season four, likely to coincide with LE SSERAFIM performing at BlizzCon’s closing ceremony in Anaheim, California on Sept. 13, marking the return of the convention for the first time since.
LE SSERAFIM’s popularity clearly translates quite well into Overwatch, as this is now the third separate collaboration between the girl group and hero shooter. The first one took place in 2023 to mark the group’s first performance at BlizzCon, but a new set of skins was added last year.
Now, the Fimmies return to BlizzCon next month, and a new set of skins will be joining the game’s ever-growing list of cosmetics. Personally, I’m hoping for some skins for the men, like a FEARNOT Reinhardt skin where his hammer becomes a massive FIMBONG light stick, and his shield is emblazoned with the group’s iconic logo.
LE SSERAFIM fans are already in a frenzy over the short bit of music you can hear at the end of today’s trailer, as the closed captioning teases “[LE SSERAFIM music plays].” A new song? Could it be? Possibly, especially considering their first turn at BlizzCon was highlighted by the release of the legendary collab song with Overwatch, “Perfect Night.”
LE SSERAFIM are currently on the Japan leg of their PUREFLOW World Tour, celebrating the release of their second studio album PUREFLOW Pt. 1 earlier this year. The group will travel to America to perform first at BlizzCon before taking part in several tour dates around the country over the course of several weeks, and they could be bringing an all-new song in tow.
