Jyothi Yarraji claims top spot as India win 3 gold and 2 bronze medals on Day 2 of Asian Athletics Championships

NEW DELHI: Riding on their athletes' stupendous show, India achieved significant success as they secured three gold and two bronze medals on the second day of the Asian Athletics Championships in Bangkok.

Jyothi Yarraji made history by becoming the first Indian athlete to win the women's 100m hurdles event at the continental showpiece. Her victory marked India's first gold medal in a major international event.
