Juventus have handed a first Champions League start to Dusan Vlahovic in tonight’s Champions League last-16 first-leg clash against Villarreal in Spain.
The Serbian striker has already scored for the club following his major money move from bitter rivals Fiorentina last month but is yet to test himself in Europe’s elite competition.
One of the most exciting young forwards in Europe, it will be fascinating to see how he takes to the challenge, particularly after Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland enhanced their reputations within it.
He starts up front alongside Alvaro Morata, with Paulo Dybala out with injury. Leonardo Bonucci is only fit enough for a place on the bench.
Elsewhere, Max Allegri has a strong squad from which to choose and comes into this game in relatively good form.
While Juventus certainly haven’t hit the heights of previous campaigns, they are unbeaten in six Serie A games and won their first four Champions League outings.
Juventus XI: Szczesny, De Sciglio, Danilo, De Ligt, Sandro, Cuadrado, Locatelli, Rabiot, McKennie, Vlahovic, Morata
Subs: Arthur, Pellegrini, Kean, Bonucci, Pinsoglio, Zakaria, Perin, Soule
