Every so often, your football team ends up with one of the best football players in the National Football League at their position. For the Minnesota Vikings, they’ve had multiple wide receivers hold that title.
Against the Detroit Lions in Week 18, Justin Jefferson surpassed 1,000 yards receiving in just his 10th game of the season, becoming the third receiver to do so. Wes Chandler and Jim Burton were the only two others to accomplish the feat.
Surpassing 1,000 yards means that Jefferson has reached the milestone in each of his first four seasons.
Jefferson has historically cooked the Lions, having had some massive games against Dan Campbell’s team.

It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Jefferson has been that successful. He’s the best receiver in the league. It also shouldn’t be much of a surprise that he’s doing this with backup quarterbacks. Nick Mullens has been firing the ball to him down the field and trusting that he can make the play.
