According to The Star Tribune’s Ben Goessling, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson will not play Monday night against the Chicago Bears. That means Jefferson will miss his seventh consecutive game but the expectation is that he will be ready on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
This was the likely result for the Vikings, as a hamstring injury is something that can be easily re-injured. With the bye week following the game, it makes all the sense in the world to play it safe.
While the Vikings have certainly missed him, but it hasn’t been to the degree that was expected. The Vikings won the first five games without Jefferson in the lineup and are a total of 5-1 with Jefferson out.
The Vikings kick off against the Chicago Bears at 7:15 p.m. CST.
