Justin Bieber’s forthcoming Justice World Tour show in Las Vegas has been postponed after the singer tested positive for Covid-19.
After it was reported that the “Yummy” hitmaker had contracted Covid-19 on Saturday (19 February), a representative for Bieber confirmed the diagnosis in a statement to US media.
Hiis long-time manager Scooter Braun wished the singer a quick recovery in an Instagram post the following day.
Bieber is apparently feeling fine and only has mild symptoms.
Earlier on Saturday, a message posted on the official Twitter account for the Justice World Tour indicated that Sunday’s (20 February) show at Las Vegas’s T-Mobile had been postponed to 28 June over “a Covid outbreak within the team”.
It is as yet unclear whether the rest of the tour dates will remain unchanged or be rescheduled over Bieber’s Covid diagnosis.
Braun also lightheartedly floated a “conspiracy theory” about how the pop singer may have contracted the virus.
Writing that he had tested positive for Covid in December last year, Braun suggested that both he and Bieber were exposed to the disease by the same person – Braun’s friend John Terzian.
He also posted pictures of Terzian sitting with the 27-year-old singer at the glitzy Super Bowl sporting event in Los Angeles last week (13 February).
Braun added that he was “excited” for Bieber to return to the stage for the remainder of his tour, after an “incredible” first show in San Diego.
