Justin Bieber and Bruce Springsteen fans in Ireland have been hitting out online in droves after the price of tickets for both US superstars were confirmed.
The cost of living has fast been on the rise nationwide, and many people have been left with a lot less disposable income.
However, it seems grocery, fuel, and heating prices are not the only thing reaching new heights, as concert ticket prices soar.
World-renowned pop star Justin Bieber will hit the stage at Dublin’s 3Arena on February 28, 2023, while Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will be performing in the RDS Arena in Dublin on May 5 and 7, 2023.
Ecstatic fans will be rushing to grab their tickets, but many have been voicing their shock online at the sheer cost of a general admission ticket.
For any Springsteen fans looking to purchase seated tickets, they’ll be forking out between €96 and €156 while general admission is a whopping €131.
Meanwhile, Bieber’s large Irish fanbase will have to pay between €86 and €126 for their seated tickets, while standing prices are currently €99 euro.
One unhappy fan tagged both Justin Bieber and his manager, Scooter Braun in a post on Twitter and wrote: “You should be ashamed about the price you are charging for tickets for your Irish shows.”
Meanwhile, Springsteen fans were echoing the same disgust, with one writing: “Just checked the price for Dublin 131€ standing and 141€ 156€ seated per ticket. Far too much even for Bruce.”
A second fan said: “I've seen Bruce fifteen times but €130 for standing is a bit saucy now at this stage.
“You'd neatly get a Ryanair and a ticket to Europe for the same price if not less.”
Bieber tickets go on sale this Friday, May 27 at 1:00 pm, and Springsteen tickets hit the market on Friday, May 27 at 5:00 pm.
