Mehrdad Ghodoussi has told Newcastle United supporters last night's win over Crystal Palace took the Magpies to the magic 40 points, usually needed for Premier League survival. It's a remarkable achievement from a side that endured their worst start to a campaign in their Premier League history, rock bottom at the time of Eddie Howe's arrival.

A nine game unbeaten run propelled the Magpies towards safety, combined with an impressive January transfer window, and now Newcastle supporters can look to the future. The PIF takeover at St. James' Park made the Toon the richest club in world football.

With grand promises of competing for the Premier League title and a return to European football, Newcastle supporters can once again dream big. Ghodoussi has been a regular on Twitter, interacting with Magpies supporters since arriving on Tyneside.
