Leading supermarket Sainsbury's is set to hack into Just Eat's network of drivers and riders by the end of February - with plans in place to offer home delivery through the popular food and drink app.
Those in close proximity to 175 of Sainsbury's shops across the United Kingdom will be able to choose from over 3,000 products for rapid delivery, which is said arrive on your doorstep within half an hour, according to the courier.
And while only a select number of stores will be eligible for the time being, the partnership is hoped to expand to more and more locations before 2023 is out.

The PA News Agency say that the move comes as a substantial addition to Just Eat's current offering, and is set to rival the likes of Getir and Gorillas - supermarket delivery services which have been operating across London since the global Coronavirus pandemic.
Amy Heather, Director of Strategic Accounts for JE, said: “Just Eat’s grocery offering is going from strength to strength and continues to be an area of significant focus. We’re excited to be working with Sainsbury’s to bring even more choice and flexibility to our customers when ordering the food and products they want, when they want.
“With the partnership launching in more than 175 sites by March, we’re delighted to bring a wide range of options to thousands of consumers, demonstrating the huge value we can provide in this space with on-demand delivery.”
Just Eat said that the ability to order on-demand groceries is growing in popularity all around the world - with the fast food courier now committed to adding as many strings to its bow as possible. The highly-successful app already has more than 30,000 grocery and convenience store partnerships world wide - including the likes of Asda, Shell, and Spar.
Siobhan McMullan-Finnegan-Dehn, director of ecommerce at Sainsbury’s, said: “Just Eat will offer another fast and convenient way for customers to get Sainsbury’s groceries delivered to their door.
“We are always on the lookout for more ways to make our customers’ lives easier and we look forward to working with Just Eat and to serving more shoppers with even more great value and quality Sainsbury’s products.”
