The rider said there were "many perks" to working with Just Eat compared to other competitors. He added: "It was a brilliant job, fantastic job.
"It was being able to drive anywhere and see things in Liverpool that you never knew existed and see sights in Liverpool that you never knew existed. It's freedom to be out and about meeting new people, seeing new faces and building relationships with workers and restaurants.
"It had so many perks to the job, but unfortunately it wasn't supposed to last."
According to the Just Eat worker, riders impacted by the lay offs will be given a six week payment, however do not know the exact date they will have to leave the company. He said "a lot of it is still up in the air".
He added: "I am taking it day-by-day. I don't know what is in store for the future. If something else comes up, I'll take it, if not then it is what it is."
