Jurgen Klopp has aimed a sly dig at Chelsea ahead of Liverpool's clash against Graham Potter's former side, Brighton. This is not the first time Klopp has taken a swipe at the Blues transfer strategy during Frank Lampard's time as manager at Stamford Bridge.
Just last year the Liverpool boss took aim at Chelsea's new owners after they made the decision to sack Thomas Tuchel and replace him with Potter in September. Following the 47-year-old's arrival, Boehly raided Brighton once again as he appointed Paul Winstanley as the Blues' new Director of Global Talent and Transfers.
Winstanley became the sixth staff member to follow Potter to west London, joining the likes of first-team coaches Billy Reid, Bjorn Hamberg and Bruno Saltor, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts and recruitment analyst Kyle Macaulay. Boehly has shown he is willing to splash the cash in the transfer window, having already spent close to £50million on David Datro Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, along with securing Joao Felix's signing on loan until the end of the season.
