Jurgen Klopp’s rage at Darwin Nunez was clear to see after the Liverpool striker was inexplicably sent off vs Crystal Palace.
The Uruguayan signed from Benfica for what could eventually become a club record £85million, was handed his first Premier League start against the Eagles. Nunez had impressed in the early weeks of his fledgling Liverpool career, scoring in both the Community Shield vs Manchester City and in their Premier League opener against Fulham.
And with Roberto Firmino injured, Nunez was given the nod to start against Palace in their first home game of the new campaign. But the 23-year-old, like many of his new team-mates endured a frustrating evening, where despite their dominance of proceedings, they fell behind to a brilliantly worked Wilfried Zaha goal.
