Jurgen Klopp sent special Liverpool birthday message by German rock band

German rock band Die Toten Hosen have sent Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp a birthday message with a special cover of his song.

Klopp turns 55 today (June 16) and it wasn't just supporters on social media that wished him well. At a concert in Rostock, Germany on Wednesday the band performed a cover of his song to mark the occasion.

Lead singer of the group Campino is a lifelong Red and became friends with Klopp shortly after he took charge at Anfield.

The crowd joined in with a rendition of 'happy birthday' led by Campino, before the band broke into their own version of Klopp's song. The chant was first sung by supporters last season ahead of their game against Manchester City at the Etihad in April.

Before the Merseyside derby last term, Klopp admitted he is a 'huge fan' of the song, that is sang to the tune of the Beatles classic 'I feel fine'.

He said on Sky Sports in April : "I love the song, I really love it. If my name is in it, I'm not 100% sure [about how much a song should be sung], but I love the song...I even have it in my ear, I can't get it out.

"They sing it a little bit too often, so maybe I don't like this kind of attention too much! It's a Beatles song as well. The players even sang it on the bus, but they put in Joel Matip. 'I'm so glad that Joel is a red'."
