Jurgen Klopp believes Liverpool can give their season a 'proper push' this week as they bid to overhaul Newcastle United and Tottenham in the top-four race. The Reds are currently six points adrift of Antonio Conte's side in fourth spot with a game in hand, and host Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool are the only side to beat Newcastle in the Premier League this season, and completed the double with a 2-0 victory at St James' Park last month. The FA Cup and Carabao Cup holders previously faced a sizeable deficit to secure a top-four spot, but Wednesday's home win over Wolves ensures they remain in the hunt.
Newcastle return to top-flight action with a daunting trip to face defending champions Manchester City on Saturday, and could drop to sixth spot with defeat at the Etihad if Liverpool beat the Red Devils the following day. Klopp insists there is still a long way to go in the battle to qualify for next season's Champions League, but has outlined his hope that this week could prove a catalyst in turning his side's fortunes around.

He told reporters: "I said before the last game this is the week where would like to give the season a proper push. With the last game and the way it went and the result, obviously we did that.
"Now, we have to make the next steps. There is no doubt about it that nothing is done yet, but it's good for us. We have strong opponents, [Manchester] United, others will come and we have to go to other places.
"We all know in football that everything is possible, we just have to make sure we're always 100% ready, that we want it a little bit more than the other guys. We [need to] use in the home games and moments our crowd in the right manner, and really go for it."
