Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has explained why the Reds moved quickly to sign Luis Diaz after his transfer was confirmed.
The signing of the 25-year-old Colombian international has been confirmed on a long-term contract after he passed a medical and finalised personal terms.
The winger was believed to have had a £67m release clause in his contract, but Porto have been forced to take a financial hit after finishing third in their Champions League group behind Liverpool and Atletico Madrid, with the deal agreed believed to be worth up to £49m with add-ons.
