Jurgen Klopp has played down suggestions his Liverpool contract extension will have any impact on the futures of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
The two forwards are out of contract at Anfield in 2023, with the Egyptian showing no sign of agreeing fresh terms with the club while the Senegalese's agent is set to open talks in the summer. Klopp 's own deal had been set to expire in 2024, with the German previously expected to leave at that time as a result. However, he has now committed his future to the Reds for another two years after signing an extension until 2026.
And when asked about the futures of Salah and Mane when speaking to the press on Friday, Klopp admitted his secured future could be beneficial for shaping his Liverpool squad going forward, but doesn't expect it to have a decisive impact on the African duo.
