Jurgen Klopp has warned Chelsea that his Liverpool side will be active in the transfer market over the summer. The Blues look set to continue their heavy spending approach under Todd Boehly and could find their targets overlapping with the Reds throughout the off-season.
One key position that is high on the priority list for both teams is a central midfielder. Liverpool had been linked with making a big money move for Enzo Fernandez over the winter but the new owners at Stamford Bridge acted quicker to get it across the line before competition for his signature gained momentum.
Brighton's Moises Caicedo is also admired by both teams. The star England duo Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice are also big targets for the two clubs. These could all be put in jeopardy though with Champions League qualification unlikely for Graham Potter and proving to be a massive challenge for Klopp.

Nevertheless, the German boss has confirmed that there are plans to make key reinforcements at the end of the campaign. He wasn't being drawm into whether the club woudl ever sanction a league record challenging £100m offer though.
“We never speak about these kind of things. We will spend in the summer - that's what I can say," Klopp explained. "The club will spend in the summer, definitely. For who and how many and stuff like this, there's nothing to say.”
Klopp was also asked about Mason Mount, who has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield. The two-time Chelsea player of the season will be allowed to depart from SW6 this summer if he doesn't agree to signing a new long-term contract at the club. Reports suggest it could take up to £70m to sign him.
"That’s actually the only thing that we do during the international break [plan for next season]. Apart from having a few days off, we don’t plan training sessions as I don’t know who is coming back or when so we do that," he said.
When asked if there had been any plans on signings, he added: "It was good, on the player side I’m positive, I would say. But it’s talks, not decisions. But we are busy, as you can imagine.”
Liverpool travel to Chelsea on Tuesday night.
