Jurgen Klopp hails 'incredible' Ryan Gravenberch after Liverpool beat Toulouse

Jurgen Klopp hailed Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch after his side romped to a 5-1 win over Toulouse in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Reds are now all but there in terms of qualification for the knockout rounds after maintaining their 100% record in a competition Klopp has already vowed to take seriously.

Summer signing Gravenberch was involved throughout, building on scoring his first goal for the club against Union Saint-Gilloise earlier this month. Handed his first start of the Premier League season during the Merseyside derby win over Everton on Saturday, things appear to be going in the right direction.

The £34m former Bayern Munich midfielder was excellent throughout Liverpool’s win over the French side, playing a role in the third goal on the night eventually scored by Darwin Nunez.

Gravenberch then added the fourth at Anfield after Nunez had hit the post and Klopp was pleased with the 21-year-old’s display.

"He's a good player,” he told TNT Sports.

“I'm so happy for him that he starts really enjoying his football again. His first touch is incredible, his acceleration with the ball. He's not even half way there. The good thing is that he has a lot of things to improve."
