Liverpool hopes of Champions League qualification were dealt another blow when they suffered a dreary defeat at Manchester City on Saturday.
Mohamed Salah gave the visitors the lead only for the Reds to crumble to a 4-1 loss against the champions. The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side will most likely have to win eight of their remaining 11 Premier League games to have any hope of a top-four finish.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at the Etihad.

Klopp intervention
Jurgen Klopp wasn't very happy on Saturday. He wasn't very happy at all. And that became glaringly apparent throughout the game as his team flapped the chance of an important victory.
One first-half incident in which Liverpool chose to slow the play down rather than hit on the counter left the Reds boss particularly fuming.
In fact, an agitated Klopp left his technical area and jumped on to the pitch to make his point before quickly realising he had veered away from his designated spot and subsequently retreated. His anger, though, did not.
Oh no, Robbo
Klopp seemingly had his head in his hands for most of the second half, such was the dreadful nature of his team's performance after the break.
And he had feared exactly what was coming ahead of City's all-important equaliser shortly before the half-hour, which was prompted by Andy Robertson pressing too high and missing a challenge.
Even before the ball reached anywhere near the Liverpool goal, Klopp was stood on the touchline with his head in his hands. He knew.
Haaland hopping
There was no Erling Haaland in the City team, the striker having been ruled out through injury. But that didn't stop him getting involved in the festivities.
As the City fans celebrated their easy win by 'doing the Poznan', the crocked marksman, sitting in the posh seats at the Etihad, couldn't help but get involved.
Then there were those in the infamous Tunnel Club at the stadium who spent a fortune to take photos of the players warming up from close quarters. Money well spent, for sure.
One Kiss goodbye
A Premier League showdown against City wasn't the only thing Liverpool lost at the weekend. They appear to have also shed one of their most notable followers.
Dua Lipa, who expressed an affinity for the Reds after performing ahead of the Champions League final in 2018, posted a photo of herself wearing an Arsenal scarf after the runaway leaders took another step towards the title shortly after Liverpool's loss.
Those upset about the fact are probably ignoring the family of the popstress are all Arsenal fans and that she's previously admitted to not being that fussed about football.
Back in 2018, she said: "I'm not really a big football fan, my little brother and my dad watch football, they support Arsenal. I've never been to a football game apart from in PE and they would make me play football myself and I was terrible at it."
