Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has dropped the clearest hint to date that Sadio Mane could be ready to leave Anfield.
Bayern Munich are desperate to sign the Liverpool forward this summer as the 30-year-old only has 12 months left on his current contract. Liverpool forward Mane insists he will not make any announcement on his future until after the Champions League final but Klopp said he would be a “big player” wherever he plays.
Bayern are ready to make their move on Monday and this could be Mane’s final farewell after a glorious six years at Liverpool. Klopp said: “This is the wrong moment to speak about Sadio - wherever he plays next season he will be a big player, definitely.”
Former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp insisted he “could not care less” about the Bayern transfer talk but Liverpool have so far been unable to tie down the Senegal star to a new deal.
Mohamed Salah has insisted he will definitely be at Liverpool next season but, after signing Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz, the Champions League finalists may now be ready to look to a new era and the end of their famous front three of Mane, Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Klopp added: ”Sadio is in the shape of his life - he's in brilliant shape, a joy to watch him in training and in the game. Football has asked him a lot this year, a long season with a lot of games but one of the most successful for him and for us.
"The Bayern rumours I couldn't care less at the moment - we are completely focussed on this game he knows how important it is to him and to us. It's not the first time in my career that Bayern rumours are coming up before big games. No problems at all, though.”
