Jurgen Klopp watched his Liverpool team draw 0-0 with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon and appeared to aim a dig at Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger. The two household sides played out a hard-fought 0-0 with minimal chances being created during the 90 minutes. It was not a game for the ages.
The match between the Reds and Chelsea marked Klopp's 1,000th game in management, but it failed to create any excitement. Both sides have been hit by injury issues in recent weeks and neither were able to take advantage of the other's problems' in a match that lacked real intensity.
And after Klopp's side failed to deliver on his big day, the Liverpool manager tried to downplay his disappointment after the match by taking a snide dig at Wenger, who fell to an embarrassing 6-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in his 1,000th game.

Speaking before his Wenger dig, Klopp said of the match: "I liked the start of the first half and particularly the start of the second half, so that was good and we need to extend these spells.
"We had moments when we played pretty well. For me it is clear, you have to be ready to make little steps and this was a little step. I expect progress and, from the last league game, it was progress, definitely. That is important."
Wenger's milestone game was remermorable for numerous reasons other than the scoreline itself. Alongside a scuffle on the touchline with Jose Mourinho, who was the Chelsea manager at the time, referee Andre Marriner sent off Kieran Gibbs for a handball inside the Arsenal penalty box, despite Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain being the perpetrator.
Speaking on this game and his own 1,000th match milestone, Klopp said: "Arsene Wenger lost his 1,000th game 6-0, so pretty happy." Ouch.
