Jurgen Klopp is confident Divock Origi will be given a "special reception" at Anfield on Sunday as he confirmed the departure of a player he regards a Liverpool legend.
Origi, who was originally signed from Lille in 2014 but then loaned back for a year, will leave when his contract expires in the summer with AC Milan clear favourites to snap up the striker on a free transfer.
The Belgium international has been restricted to just 175 appearances during his Liverpool career - of which only 68 have been as a starter - but many of his 41 goals in that time have been memorable, including six derby strikes against Everton, a brace in the Champions League semi-final comeback against Barcelona in 2019 and the clinching goal in the subsequent final against Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old is likely to be on the bench when the Reds end their Premier League campaign at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers - against whom he scored a dramatic late winner at Molineux in December - aiming for a victory in the hope Manchester City falter at home to Aston Villa as the title race reaches a conclusion.
And when asked if those players set to leave will receive a send-off from the Anfield faithful, Klopp revealed Origi is the only first-team squad member at present expected to depart in the summer.
"We can only do that with those we know definitely, and that's only Div.," said the Reds boss on Friday. "Yes, I expect Div to get a special reception and farewell. He is and will be for me forever a Liverpool legend, one of the most important players I ever had.
"That sounds completely strange given the amount of games he had, but it is and was a pure joy to work together with him. It's not over yet - just the last Premier League game - but he deserves all good thoughts we can generate somehow for his future, and wherever he will go he will be successful, 100%.
"An outstanding player, an outstanding boy, everybody in the team loves him because he's just a relaxed guy and a really lovable guy. It will be a harsh moment when he actually leaves, it will for us not be now, but whenever it will be it will be harsh.
"Since I'm here Div is here. I remember so many things when I think about Div that's incredible, some important goals, some bad injuries, ups and downs. He is a Liverpool legend, no doubt."
