Jurgen Klopp has aimed a fresh dig at Manchester United as he named Liverpool's 7-0 win over the Red Devils as his moment of the season.
The German coach has endured a difficult campaign in charge of the Reds, who are battling for a place in Europe next season. They have experienced a serious downturn in results and find themselves seventh in the table, behind Newcastle, Man Utd, Tottenham and Aston Villa in the race fora spot in European competition.
There have been some bright moments for the Reds though, including a 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth. But it was the stunning 7-0 win over United in March that sticks out most in Klopp's mind.
Doubles from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, as well as Roberto Firmino's late strike secured a thumping win for the Reds at Anfield that day. And it is one that Klopp will look back on fondly in years to come.
"I always thought I would have time for these things after my career. So this season, if we don't do something really special, will be remembered for the 7-0 against United," he said ahead of Sunday's visit of Tottenham.
"I hope when people speak about it in a few years they will look back on it and [say] 'that is the year we beat United 7-0' and that they could say something nice on top of that. And after that we qualified still for whatever. That will be nice, but if not then we have to take that as well.

"We take what we get, that's how it is. It's not that we started the season and said if we qualify for the Europa League it would be fantastic but the season taught us a few things. And that's absolutely fine. If it's Europa League then it's Europa League, absolutely fine.
"We have to be just really focused on the game coming up, that's in this moment Tottenham. Try to win it, try to play in a convincing way, try to be uncomfortable to play against, all these kinds of things."
The Reds are currently enjoying a five-match unbeaten run, having also won their last three Premier League games. Klopp is not getting ahead of himself though and remains well aware of how his side have lost their way this term.
"It's, for me, too early to speak about consistency. For me, winning three is not consistent. It's good but can only be the start of something. It's about consistency you show in performances, even more than in results," he said.
"I know in the outside world it's the result but, for us obviously, it must be the performance because that's what we work with. I'm happy with that in the moment because in all the games, as different as they were, I saw a lot of things we want to see in the games.
"And that's then really good. That's really pleasing for the coach inside – that these things are still possible. We want to focus on us – and that's what we do – but we cannot ignore the quality of the opponent, so we have to be ready for that as well."
