Slovakia's rising hockey star, Juraj Slafkovsky, is making waves in the NHL. Coming off a stellar performance at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, where he helped secure Slovakia's first-ever Olympic hockey medal, Slafkovsky has been making his mark with the Montreal Canadiens since being drafted as the first Slovak player with the No. 1 pick in the NHL draft.
At 19 years old, Slafkovsky is already showing tremendous potential. Known for his playmaking abilities, he has been praised for his impeccable release and goal-scoring prowess. However, Slafkovsky admits that he is still learning to trust his shot and often finds himself looking for passing opportunities instead of taking the shot himself.
