Junior doctors’ strike expected to cause mass disruption as thousands of NHS appointments cancelled

Thousands of NHS appointments in England are expected to be cancelled as junior doctors go on strike in a dispute with the government over pay.

The 72-hour walkout by medics – who can have up to eight years of experience as a hospital doctor or three years in general practice – will run from 7.00am on Wednesday until 7.00am on Saturday.
